Twilight Eclipse

I very, very much doubt that I am on my lonesome in being super excited about the upcoming release of Twilight 'Eclipse' next week! However I certainly wouldn't be willing to stand outside in the cold waiting for the stars to make a brief red-carpet appearance... even if they were showing up...
'Twi-hard' fans, as they like to be known by, were on the news this morning complaining about how bitterly dissapointed they are that stars Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart would be boycotting the London premiere of the film in Leicester Square - the official reason given is that their safety was under question after they were mobbed by fans at the New Moon premiere however the dissapointed fans aren't impressed, at all!
To be honest I like the movie because I think that, so far, they have been great adaptations from Stephanie Meyer's novels - I couldn't care less if the trio decide to stay in L.A and send video messages to the red carpet - I just want to see the Edward and Seth Versus Victoria scene... and the 'big question' :-p
So here's a toast to the new movie, not to the 'celebrities' who act in it, I'll be reviewing 'Eclipse' on here asap.

Was scrolling through Martha Stewart's recipes this afternoon and came across this recipe for Lighter Beef tacos - perfect dinner for the weather we have been having today.

Design Classic

Ok so I know I will probably never be able to afford one of these chairs but I just had to share with you a complete design classic.
It is, of course, an Eames chair (image courtesy of Swank Lighting) - a mid century modern design that will just keep on going for aslong as I can foresee.
What I wouldn't give for one of these beautiful chairs at my desk...

My Whole Heart

How romantic is this wall art? I found the picture on the Ideal Homes website and read how the couple recieved this as a wedding present - it was handmade by a friend out of scraps of wood and some stencils off of ebay!
What a sweet wedding present - the perfect mix of useable, romantic and budget friendly, and in my opinion the perfect antidote to a World which is much more impressed by expensive gifts than those things given from the heart...

Pretty Please

Ok so yes, I know that I have a LOT of jewellery...
BUT...
This necklace from White Trash Charms is just so cute - what summer dress would look complete without it? Here's to hoping that Scott reads this :-)

Lily's Summer Wardrobe

Since I fell pregnant last year I have realised that there is nothing more satisfying than shopping for baby clothes.
Which is probably the reason why Lily's wardrobe is chock-full of gorgeous summer dresses, the sweetest sleepsuits you could imagine and at least twenty pairs of little shoes.
In stark contrast mine and Scott's wardrobes are quite bare - but thats ok by us, we would much rather see Lily looking good than worry about ourselves, albeit a bad habit of parenthood!
This little three piece set is the latest addition to our gorgeous daughter's wardrobe, its from Vertbaudet and cost just £8 in the sale *woop go bargain hunting mummy* and thankfully today is just the perfect summery day for her to wear it :-)

Super sweet Save-The-Dates

As per usual I was scouting around on Etsy when I came across this adorable save-the-dates from Etsy seller Rooted In Paper.
I think I have fallen in love with Christina's work - not just with the amazing stationary in her etsy shop but also what I have seen on her blog, go check it out!
I've had a real thing for silhouettes lately, particularly after seeing a silhouette themed wedding on 'greenweddingshoes' and the wedding of 'Hello Lucky' director Eunice where they had silhouettes on all of their paper goods AND a personalised laser-cut cake topper to match.

First Post!!!

Heya,
So this is my first post on my brand new blog, 'welcome'
I started up this blog as my last blog (www.thelifeandloveofalondoncouple.blogspot.com) accidentally got deleted (oops!) so this will be the new base of operations :-)
As some of you will know, or could find out from reading my profile, I am Alex.
I'm a 21 year old mummy of (currently) six month old Lily-Rose and fiance of Scott, who just so you know is the most amazing man I have EVER met! We live in the grand and every so slightly downtrodden city of London, in England that is, and this blog is an outlet for our love, thoughts and the inspiration we find everyday.
I hope you enjoy reading, become a follower and comment when the feeling strikes you,
Adios amigos!
